Ford Vietnam was established in 1995 as a joint venture between Ford Motor Company (75%) and Song Cong Diesel Company (25%). Ford is proud to be among the first American companies to invest Vietnam after the normalization of relations, and we remain the only American investor to date in automotive industry, with total capital investment in Hai Duong Plant valued more than $208 million.

Ford’s integrated business operations in Vietnam include vehicle assembly, marketing, sales and customer services. In addition to offices in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, Ford operates an assembly plant in Hai Duong (55Km from Hanoi) with total annual capacity of 40,000 vehicles. Ford Vietnam currently employs approximately 825 employees, and accounts for another 5,000 jobs through its network of 43 dealers.
